MOLIY is bringing her first-ever European headline tour to 12 cities this October, and she  is opening in Madrid. The Ghanaian-American artist has announced her summer mixtape  Baddies ❤ MOLIY, set for release via Gamma ahead of the tour’s 8 October kick-off at  Sala Clamores. From there, the high-energy run will sweep through major cultural hubs  across the continent, making highly anticipated stops in cities like Paris and closing out the  journey in London. Twelve cities, one summer project, and a statement of intent from one  of Africa’s most distinctive voices.  

The Mixtape 

MOLIY is set to drop 11 tracks featuring several artists such as Tyla, Skillibeng, Shenseea, and  Sarkodie, among others. This collaborator line-up connects South Africa, Ghana, and Jamaica,  through a deliberate musical conversation. Delivered with high energy, confidence, and freedom,  the mixtape represents MOLIY’s desire to keep this cultural relationship alive. MOLIY has  previously released ‘Body Go‘ (with Tyla) and ‘Partygyal’. Earlier this year, she told Billboard  Africa she knew exactly the high-energy, confident sound she wanted to bring to the mixtape.  The mixtape follows the extraordinary run of ‘Shake It To The Max (FLY)‘, which surpassed 1  billion streams and spent 22 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the US Afrobeats Songs Chart. 

The European tour 

This is MOLIY’s first European headline tour, which moves through 12 cities throughout  October. Rooted in Afro-dancehall, MOLIY is not arriving to play heartbreak music, she is  coming to move.

Who is Moliy 

MOLIY is a Ghanaian-American artist, raised in Accra, and now based in the US. Her  breakthrough came with her feature on Amaarae’s ‘Sad Girlz Luv Money‘ — the Kali Uchis remix  reached No. 80 on the Billboard Hot 100. She has since become the first Ghanaian artist to  perform at the BET Awards. 

MOLIY is deeply influenced by Jamaican music and her Ghanaian roots. Throughout her career,  she has consistently resisted pressure to conform to Afrobeats or to sound more Nigerian, which  led her to fully embrace Afro-dancehall, the music that she has always loved. This choice to  persevere, made in an industry that ignored her for the first part of her career, ultimately led her  to the success she has been building.
