Asake returned to London’s O2 arena on Thursday 15 October for his In God We Trust World Tour, and the night confirmed what the room had already proven twice. According to BellaNaija, it was the third sold-out show of his career at the 20,000-capacity venue. With BNXN and TxC opening, a surprise appearance from Blaqbonez, and a crowd that sang the M$NEY songs as loudly as the older hits, it was among the most complete shows Asake has played in the UK.

How the night ran
The O2’s published schedule had TxC on at 7:15pm, BNXN at 8pm and Asake at 8:30pm. BNXN was a fitting choice. He and Asake released “Eja Meja” together in July, so his set doubled as a warm-up for the headliner’s own catalogue.
The tour has followed a fairly set running order. The setlist Live Nation published from an earlier date opens with “Worship,” his DJ Snake collaboration, and closes with “Gratitude.” In between are M$NEY tracks, hits from his earlier albums and a DJ interlude. London appears to have kept that shape. Fan clips show Asake closing with “Gratitude” and working through “Terminator,” “Joha,” “Palazzo,” “Why Love” and “Ototo” along the way.
The Blaqbonez surprise
The surprise of the night came midway through. One fan wrote that Blaqbonez “comes out of the floor, screaming Ikebe wanyo wanyo,” apparently rising through the stage on a lift. The two then performed “Ikebe 3000” and “Chanel,” their two 2026 collaborations. The timing was deliberate. Blaqbonez’s album NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME came out at midnight, a few hours after the show, so 20,000 people heard its lead single on the eve of release. Fans also spotted TML Vibez and Rybeena in the crowd singing along to “Chanel.”
The moments fans are sharing
Most of the clips going around online come from the crowd rather than the stage. Asake did his viral dance for London, with what one fan account called “a slight update.” During “Skilful” he brought a fan up and carried her across the stage. The tour setlist lists the song as “Skilful (with Fan),” so the moment is planned every night, but it landed in London all the same. In another clip a woman reaches out and touches him as he walks along the barrier. And when “Gratitude” closed the night, a man in the crowd was filmed in tears.

The M$NEY era on stage
This tour supports M$NEY, Asake’s fourth studio album, released on 1 May through his own label, Giran Republic, and EMPIRE. It set a Spotify Nigeria record with 37.5 million streams in its first six days, The Guardian Nigeria reported, overtaking the 35.8 million first-week total of Wizkid’s Morayo. The run began with a headline set at Afro Nation Portugal on 4 July. A North American arena leg followed from 20 August to 6 September, with Uncle Waffles opening, and the tour now finishes at the Accor Arena in Paris on 24 October.
London has a special place in this album’s story. In July, Asake released M$NEY Live in London as a concert film and live album exclusively on Spotify, which made him the first artist anywhere to launch a full live concert film on the platform. Thursday’s show felt like the arena-sized version of that project.
What three O2s say about Asake
Selling out The O2 once is a milestone. Selling it out a third time shows a reliable audience. Asake’s 2024 Lungu Boy tour also sold out the venue, alongside Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center. For promoters, three sell-outs in a row put him among the few Afrobeats headliners who can be booked into a 20,000-seat room with confidence, without relying on festival bills or guest-heavy lineups.
The setlist approach helps. Asake builds his shows around his own catalogue, keeps guests short and well placed, and gives the arena moments the crowd will film and share. The real test of this tour is how the European leg finishes. With only Paris left, all eyes are now on Accor Arena on 24 October.
