Cheikh Lô, the legendary Senegalese musician, is a Mbalax legend recognized worldwide.
Born in 1955 in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, to Senegalese parents, Cheikh Lô was raised on Ghanaian highlife, Congolese rhythms, Cuban rumba, Senegalese mbalax, and James Brown’s soul.
In the 1990s, he burst onto the world stage with his first album “Né La Thiass,” produced by Youssou N’Dour, which became an absolute classic.
With over 20 million cumulative streams and recognition from leading international media, Cheikh Lô has toured on five continents, igniting prestigious festivals.
The Senegalese artist marks his grand return to the spotlight in 2025 with the release of his sixth studio album.
