Nigerian producer Lekaa Beats opens his 2026 with a statement. ‘Angels’ features Omah Lay and ODUMODUBLVCK. It dropped on 30 January via the Faceless label. The combination of Lekaa Beats, Angels, Omah Lay and ODUMODUBLVCK sounds potent on paper. It delivers even harder in practice.
Two Voices, One Vision
The production hits with atmosphere and boldness. Moody synths layer over hard drums. Textured basslines balance hip-hop energy with Afro-fusion warmth. Omah Lay, whose Grammy-nominated catalogue speaks for itself, floats over the beat with characteristic vulnerability. ODUMODUBLVCK, the Anti World Gangstars frontman, enters with raw, street-rooted intensity. On paper, these styles clash. On record, they complement beautifully.
Lekaa Beats previously worked on the chart-topping ‘Isaka II (6am)’ by Ciza, Tems and Omah Lay. On ‘Angels’ he crafts a track about struggle, ambition and inner battles. The title fits. Something genuinely transcendent happens when these two artists orbit each other on this record.
