Salif Keita, a legend of African music, is a pioneer of Afropop and an innovator with more than 55 years of career. Nicknamed "The Golden Voice of Africa," he has made his mark on the global music scene with hits like "Ô Yamore" and "Madan." His collaborations and willingness to experiment have made him famous, while earning him five Grammy Award nominations and twenty albums to his credit. Born into a noble Malian lineage, his albinism marked his childhood and journey, with considerable social challenges. After joining groups like the Rail Band and Les Ambassadeurs, Keita launched a solo career that propelled him internationally. He also founded the Salif Keita Global Foundation to support people with albinism. He still travels the world and continues to record and tour, with an acoustic album planned for 2025 and another with his electric band for 2026.
